Mmm lol well it's hard not to be critical of my own works. In the recent 2 especially there are so many anatomical mistakes(not that I was going for a realistic look but there's always a line not to be crossed with that too) and the shading is very unbalanced. Mmmeh! It's more easy to feel critical even though I want to post the pics anyway lol, sorry. :d

I do see some awkwardness in the photos, or certain things don't seem quite right, but they're by and large very small nitpicks.

Your work has this airy, ethereal almost ghost-like feel to it sometimes. Enchanting, maybe?
Hmm ghost-like? That's a new take. Interesting comment thanks. In the future I would like to learn to express moods or emotions more in a picture rather than just characters posing even though it's fun to just draw poses. :]

Well, a lot of the pictures I see drawn by people have a kind of 'set up' feel to them - you know, as if the characters themselves decided that they were in some sort of Guild Wars photoshoot, and were posing.

A lot of your pictures seem kind of captured inbetween those types of moments. Sure, some of your pictures are more posed than spontaneous, but by and large when I see your pictures I feel like I was able to see as a picture something more fleeting, barely glimpsed.

I have to admit I haven't seen your entire body of work, just the stuff you've posted here on gurus, so I could be off the mark. But as it relates to the Guild Wars type art you've drawn thus far, this is how I feel.

You know when we go about our everyday lives, we don't necessarily express ourselves with our faces. If we aren't directly communicating with other people, our self expression is much more subtle than a frown or a smile. It could be something as obvious as a brow furrowed slightly in thought, or something more subtle as looking totally un-selfconscious. Whether you mean to or not, or whether other people feel the same way as I do or not, I feel like you manage to pick out those less obvious emotions and put them on paper.

Which is why I want to get a commission from you =p

Wow, your long comments flatter me... It makes me glad that you would think there is more expression in some of my pics than just posing. I've recently been very inspired by the Anet art team and their way of showing mood in a picture with colors and lightning. In the future I would like to try to learn something like that too and learn not to always make a character the center of a picture but make the overall feeling/scene more important. :d

Recent piccy I pencil sketched for Jo's bday. It's Sister Yahni!

Colored version, tho I think I messed it up a bit. :P

And yeeeaaahh /slap me for drawing whatever! I need to do my commissions! Bad me. ...Cause I have another random sketch but I'll prolly scan it tomorrow and First Aid Pack's commission needs some colors. I think I've found my inspiration in natural mediums and pencil sketching again.
Hehe just spotted you posted this here. I must say you are absolutely win for doing that o_o I was completely not expecting that I love every single thing you have posted in this thread o_o you rock.

I adore those pictures.

You really have a lovely style, I think.

I would like to agree with what was said earlier about the characters being caught in in-between moments. It really looks rather dynamic, and I like that.

Random. Stalker's derv.

Oh and the above pictures are quick rinoa's assasin and monk. It was those two sketches that made me feel like drawing with natural mediums again. Drew them before Jo's monk even. I was just a bit too tired to comment when I posted them last time. :P

Thanks for the comments!

Nian, I would get a commission from you... if not for me having to wait a very long time... I think I might end up doing an art contest, it's probably the best way to nab a commission from some of my favorite artists here.
